I Believe is a poem of life dedicated to speaking about the intricacies of life and the positions to assume for the beautiful life we desire.

Life is game with endless and numerous possibilities of winning. A game for multiple players, enjoyable with help from loved ones, friends, families, and those within our circle, trusted ones, withholding nothing. Those who will brave any storm and face any shadow or thorns despite the dark clouds on earth, in the sky, air, on land and at sea, in fact, anything to ensure that, possibly, and come what may, we will see and breathe several dawns.

Loved ones who are ready to brave the darkest night, hoping for the brightest morns so we can stand tall with accomplishments incomparable. It sounds like many horns laughing out loud because despite all odds, our path we never desist.

Finally, in the wake of our triumph, our competitors, we leave them by the wayside, competing no more, for conquerors we are assuredly without any cheat or deceit. Gloriously riding high, marching forward to a new beat up the mountainside knowing that warring and surviving are never easy, and conquering is a remarkable feat. History has shown that very few can withstand the heat, brave all odds and decide to attain that glory and honour, reserved for the outstanding few, how neat!

Now I rise, time to soar, and I will triumph even losing flesh and meat because I believe without any doubt that I can and will keep my seat and relieve histories of those who aspired, perspired, and acquired what they desired.

I believe

Friend, you look at me, shaking your head in disbelief and railing, wondering how I can be completely sure that God is on my side. Because your fear of this word is unsurmountable, you are failing and falling. But all I see and know is that God is in the picture, and he cannot lie, therefore, search the scriptures, His promises you will find and soak them in. They are scattered across several books, chapters, and verses like the river wide.

All you need to do is believe, have faith, and in him abide. Always remember that God is too faithful to fail; in your heart, those words should reside and you will find the strength to survive this world regardless of what comes your way.

Yes, I know it is not as simple as it looks, and over time, I’m discovering. But I’ve learnt that intentionality and consistency are the master keys of overcomers. Despite past failures, I’m crawling, soon to be running and then flying to that beautiful, glorious height i have always dreamed of, beyond Mars. I learnt that new things are old things happening to new people, mind-blowing! Therefore, this life of games is like a repeated cycle of recycled situations, it will pass.

Nothing new or special, ask the elders, listen to their lamentations, ye newcomers and you will understand. It is better to trust the creator of all these creations as reformers to transform your life’s story into something unprecedented.

My friend once called my bluff, saying I overspiritualized everything, that some things in life are never spiritual or emotion, simply logical. Going ahead to give different examples, personal, historical and contemporary things. Citing scripture to buttress his point about making decisions, some even radical. He claims we are not expected to be perfect, simply impossible in anything.

Asking me to pinpoint any human, dead or alive, with a perfect life, how cynical! Emphasizing that we are flesh and prone to mistakes, in this world, so practical. Despite choices, God always wants us to choose Him first, and make it natural because it is the only testament to the faith we hold so dear while standing fast.

Yes, I believe life is a game of endless possibilities of winning if we persist, especially aided by those we love and those who love us unconditionally. And together, we strive to get to that point, soaring despite life and defeats. Because we have a dream, one so dear we cannot treat casually. That was and has always been my belief, until that eureka moment of revelation visit showed God’s saying, “Until when will God’s purpose for my life be handled carnally?”

My belief I changed not, it transformed into accepting God’s call completely and totally. And I laid my all on the altar, implicitly trusting in God to take care of it all liberally so yes, I reiterate my stance, I believe in the God of all possibilities, and I will not fail.
